Welcome to a space where stone speaks.
This gallery, located in the City Palace Museum of Udaipur, is more than just a collection —
it’s a testimony to the spiritual heart of Mewar.
At the center of it all stands Shree Eklingnath ji,
the guardian deity of Mewar and a living symbol of divine presence.
His form — four-faced Shiva, known as chaturmukha, unites Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh (Shiva),
and Surya (the Sun) into one essence.
A spiritual compass, radiating in all directions.
The sculptures here — from fierce goddesses to meditative sages — are not relics.
They are witnesses. Created centuries ago by Rajasthani artisans,
they carry the breath of devotion (bhakti), the weight of protection,
and the beauty of sacred art.
But this gallery isn’t only about the past.
It’s about the now — about recognizing the divine feminine, not as myth, but as force.
Here, the goddesses don’t sit quietly. They stand, dance, bless, fight, protect, and remind us:
Strength can be soft. Beauty can be power. And stone can feel alive.
This page is my tribute — to them, and maybe, to parts of myself I’m still learning to honour.

Це не просто зала музею.
Це простір, де камінь дихає, а тиша говорить.
Галерея в Міському палаці Удайпуру зібрала не просто скульптури —
вона зібрала дух Мевара.
У центрі — Шрі Еклингнатх Джі, головне божество цього краю.
У ньому — чотири обличчя: Брахма, Вішну, Махеш (Шива) та Сур’я.
Він — як компас, що вказує в усі сторони одночасно.
А довкола нього — жіночий пантеон, і кожна богиня тут не декоративна.
Вона — дія.
Вони тут стоять, танцюють, карають, благословляють, захищають.
М’якість тут має силу. Краса — це теж зброя. А камінь — живий.
Ці статуї створені сотні років тому раджастханськими майстрами.
Але тут і зараз — вони не про минуле.
Вони про нас. Про те, що жіноча енергія не потребує дозволу,
не просить вибачення — вона просто є.
Ця сторінка — моя вдячність. Їм.
І тим частинам себе, які я ще тільки вчуся приймати.

This is Durga — not just a goddess, but a force.
Born from the combined power of all the gods, she carries their weapons not to dominate,
but to restore balance.
Each of her ten arms once held a gift — a tool of strength, clarity, protection.
She doesn’t fight out of rage. She fights with purpose.
Beneath her feet — the defeated demon Mahishasura,
who underestimated what divine stillness can do when it finally moves.
Durga isn’t here to smile or entertain.
She’s here to protect what matters.
And she does.
